Values

We have a common set of values that come from The Scout Law. These values should blow through the Unit like a gentle breeze, we never preach or ram things down your throat.

Faith and spirtuality

From Atheists to Zorastrians we are open to all

We are not associated with any particular religion, but we do create an atmosphere where young people can explore and feel comfortable with discussing their feelings on life, the universe and everything.

Faith and spirtuality

Engaging with our local faith communities

We are happy to engage and support our local faith communities, using our own inimitable style. Here we’re taking the Leominster Posada for a night hike!

Exploring through food

Food is a fantastic way to explore different cultures and festivals, here we’re cooking Shankarpali sweets for Diwali

Values

Making Your Promise

All Scouts take the Scout Promise. God is optional these days and where you take it is up to you, we prefer outdoors with a bit of atmosphere.

We are a peace movement

We are not a military organisation, but we do very much respect and support our armed forces. Remembrance Sunday is a big deal to us.

Discussion and Reflection

Gathering round the campfire brings up many deep and thoughtful conversations. No contrived debates, these spontaneous discussions cover everything from Christian beliefs to Marxism, all gently guided back to reflecting on how things fit in with our values.
